First Thursdays: PS3 Gaming

We will continue to hold PS3 GAMING every first Thursday during the school year.  Stop by to play your favorite PS3 games with your friends!  This program is intended for kids that are 10 and older.  The fun begins at  4 p.m. this Thursday!

Help Us Create a Haunted Library!

Join the Drama Club this fall and help us create a Haunted Library for Halloween! We will be working on coming up with a haunted library tour!  Bring your creativity and you scary stories on Wednesdays at 4 pm.  This program is designed for kids over the age of 10.

Mockingjay is Almost Here!

Need a place to celebrate the release of Mockingjay, the final book in the Hunger Games trilogy? The Magice Tree Bookstore will be holding a Midnight Uprising Release party.  Join the Magic Tree for music, food, tattoos, trivia, fashion design competition and a Suzanne Collins video.  You can reserve your book to get a ticket to the festivities OR you can enter our raffle instead!  Stop by the library to enter our raffle and don't forget to reserve your copy of Mockingjay today!

The vampire trend has hit a new level.  This weekend the movie Vampires Suck will hit the theaters.  As you can see in the movie trailer below, nothing from Twilight gets sparred.  You choose:  is this a great way to get your vampire angst out or just another chance to see some vampires and other supernatural creatures?

Justin Bieber is Writing a Book

Justin Bieber is writing a book about his life.  The book will include information about being a star and traveling around the country as well as info on his friends and family and love life!  The book will also feature a lot of new photos of the singer.  Check back in October to get your copy! 

Let the Games Begin!

 

 It's August!  You know what that means?  Mockingjay (the 3rd  and final Hunger Games book) will be released soon!  Catching Fire left so many questions and I can hardly find out what happens to Katniss.  If you need a refresher or haven't caught Hunger Games fever yet, stop by the library to check out the book or audio book.  And don't forget to put a hold on Mockingjay before August 24!
